We're back

Back from Scotland and slowly but surely getting back into normal everyday life. Scotland was great fun - even though it did rain the first few days we were there. We spent time meeting up with relatives (I was born in Scotland and our relatives are still there), eating out, relaxing and walking along the shore.
I love the coast in Scotland, the tides go so far out and you're able to walk among the rocks normally covered by the sea and look in the rock pools to see what you can find. There is something about the coastline around Ayr that draws you to it, I could spend hours just sitting watching the sea.

I took about 500 photos and haven't had a chance to go through them all yet. Here are a few from the first evening and the following morning.

This is the village of Dunure where we spent our first night. We stayed at Dunure Inn which is in one of the buildings on the left of the picture, overlooking the harbour.

The harbour

This picture was taken on Friday evening when the tide was in. We decided these rocks looked like a crocodile

This was taken the following morning when the tide was out. You can get an idea of how big the rocks are by looking at the size Emily is in the photo - she's about 5'

Once I've sorted out some more photos I will post again. Have a good evening.
